Look behind the mascara
and the shiny lipstick
look a little deeper
and maybe you will see
that this girl you are looking
at really isn't me
Quit saying you love me.
For once.. just show it.
Life is like a dream
you always wake up to the truth
and sometimes it sucks
When the last teardrop falls
I will stand tall
And hold onto the memories
Of how you used to be
When someone really loves you,
they will never hurt you.
And if they do,
you can see it in their eyes
that it hurts them too...
It's hard to determine
where to draw the line
between being nice
and not hurting people's feelings,
and standing up
for what you believe.
We take a risk
when we open our hearts
because the truth is,
if we open our hearts,
we will get hurt.
You can’t open your heart
and not have some hurt
because you’re in a
human experience.
Even if it’s the love of your life
and you have many wonderful,
deepening, growing,
powerful years together,
it’s a human experience
and that person will pass over.
Love takes courage.
Be courageous.
If you don't know,
then ask me.
If you don't agree,
then argue with me.
If you don't like,
then say it to me.
But don't keep silent
and judge me.
I've learned that no matter
how good a friend someone is,
they're going to hurt you
every once in awhile
and you must forgive them for that.
I don't make mistakes..
I just date them.
